DESIGN
The York implements a number of innovations which combine to make it an extraordinary phono stage. Enclosed in an all aluminium chassis, the York is shielded from stray EMI and always cool to the touch. Symmetrical input circuitry virtually eliminates any performance variation between channels. Op amps are selected from among state-of-the-art devices boasting “Ultra” high end performance. Thin film resistors and audio grade film capacitors in the signal path are of 0.1% and 1% tolerance respectively, or better where available, to ensure the tightest RIAA accuracy and lowest possible deviation from the intent of the artist based on the vinyl derived signal. No corners are cut or expense is spared in making the York a world class phono stage.

“The sound field it offers is smooth and refined, and build quality is to the highest order. The flexibility available to the user when it comes to signal gain and cartridge loading is as extensive as it gets.
DAvid Neice - Wall of Sound
“...it easily outclasses any under $500. phono stage that I have ever heard and the premium in sound easily justifies the extra dollars required to move up to the York phono stage. The York scores very high on the Value-for-Money scale and it made me seriously question my investment in a $2500. step-up transformer. I think that says it all.
